Digital Desk: Investigation reveals the One Direction star's fatal  fall from a hotel balcony was likely caused by substance-induced loss of consciousness. Three individuals, including a friend, a hotel employee, and an alleged drug dealer, face charges connected to the tragedy.

In a significant development regarding the sudden demise of a former One Direction member, Liam Payne, the Argentinean authorities have found out that he did not commit suicide. Payne, 31, died on October 16 while he was on a tour with his partner, falling from the third-floor balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires. As per reports, police officials concluded that his injuries were more in line with a fall, meaning the incident was not an instance of self-harm or someone else acting on his behalf.

The toxic material is the official Payne autopsy, and toxicology discovered several materials in Payne at the time of the event. Several hours before Payne's untimely death, hotel employees allegedly called the police after a seemingly drugged or intoxicated man threatened to attack them. This has led to the prosecution of three people thought to have been with Payne at the time of his death. These are “abandoning a person with the intent that the person dies” and “the sale or furnishing of narcotics,” as reported by Deadline.

All the suspects, who are friends of the singer, have not been arrested, but they have travel bans restricting their movements around Argentina until further tests are conducted. One of the suspects had business with Payne, while the other had worked at a hotel. The third one is accused of supplying the substances discovered in Payne’s system back in December 2015.
