Dhanush makes his Hollywood debut in The Gray Man. On July 22, Netflix will release the global spy thriller.
Digital Desk: Netflix released the action-packed trailer for the Hollywood spy thriller The Gray Man on May 24, starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Billy Bob Thornton, and Dhanush.
Dhanush, who makes his Hollywood debut with the film, was also seen for a few seconds in hand-to-hand combat in the 2 minutes-11-seconds clip.
The Gray Man, which is set to premiere on Netflix on July 22, is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who have previously worked on Marvel Studios' Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
According to the official synopsis shared by the streaming behemoth on YouTube, "THE GRAY MAN is CIA agent Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), also known as Sierra Six. Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death, plucked from federal prison and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton)."
"But now the tables have turned, and Six is the target, pursued worldwide by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former CIA colleague who will go to any length to eliminate him. Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) is on his side. He'll require it. "It says Dhanush tagged the Russo Brothers on Twitter and shared a link to the trailer for the highly anticipated film.
Based on Mark Greaney's novel The Gray Man, the film also stars Ana de Armas Regé-Jean Page, Billy Bob Thornton, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, and Alfre Woodard in key roles. It is Netflix's most expensive film, with a production budget of $200 million.
The film will be released in limited theatres in the United States of America a week before its global Netflix release on July 22.
