Thyroid patients should grab these healthy bedtime snacks; Check Here
Thyroid gland dysfunction can result in a range of thyroid disorders, although some micronutrients can help manage symptoms...

Digital Desk: Nutrition can help with thyroid disease management. The thyroid or the little butterfly-shaped gland at the front of your neck, produces hormones that support metabolic functions in the body.

However, this gland can malfunction and generate too many or too few hormones, known as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Thyroid dysfunction can be caused by a lack of specific nutrients, such as iodine.

A healthy thyroid gland requires a well-balanced diet. Aside from iodine, several additional micronutrients may influence thyroid gland function.

To manage the disease, consume plenty of fruits and vegetables, as well as beans, pulses, fish, eggs, and meat. Dry fruits, in particular, contain selenium, which can aid thyroid function.

Lovneet Batra, a dietitian, suggests some bedtime snacks to help control thyroid issues.

    1| Eat 4-5 soaked cashews

Cashews contain the mineral selenium, crucial for thyroid function, controlling thyroid levels, and protecting thyroid tissue from oxidative damage.

    2| Consume coconut flakes

Coconut contains a high concentration of medium-chain fatty acids, which boost metabolism and energy levels while also helping to manage blood sugar levels, potentially contributing to enhanced thyroid health.

3|  Add 1 Teaspoon of chia seeds (soaked) in your snack time

Chia seeds are high in omega-3 fatty acids. Anti-inflammatory qualities of omega-3 fatty acids may aid in the reduction of inflammation in thyroid gland-related disorders such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis, de Quervain's thyroiditis, and other forms of thyroiditis.

4| 1 tablespoon toasted pumpkin seeds

Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, which is essential for thyroid function and the manufacture of thyroid hormones. Pumpkin seeds are also a natural source of tryptophan, an amino acid that aids with sleep. Pumpkin seeds include zinc, copper, and selenium, which can alter sleep length and quality.

Maintain a healthy snack diet to avoid severe diseases; good food is the gateway to a good life.
