Digital Desk: Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya,
Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, inaugurated a number of health
infrastructure projects in Ahmednagar. Three Primary Health Care Centres in
Ahmednagar were virtually opened, as were the Dr Vikhe Patil Cancer Centre and
Dr Vikhe Patil Nuclear Medicine Centre.
"Through
investments in health infrastructure, India is going toward a healthy and
successful future," stated Dr. Mandviya.
Dr. Mansukh
Mandaviya dedicated the Ralegan Siddhi Primary Health Care Centre's main
building and staff quarters (PHC). The PHC complex is expected to cost Rs.702
lakhs to build. The Health Minister also dedicated the main building and staff
quarters of the PHC in Kharda, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs.560 lakhs,
and the main building of the PHC in Padhegaon, which is being constructed at a cost
of more than Rs.214 lakhs.
Union Health &
Family Welfare Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya also inaugurated the Dr Vikhe
Patil Cancer Centre and Dr Vikhe Patil Nuclear Medicine Centres. The centers,
which are outfitted with cutting-edge technology, seek to give patients with
comprehensive care.

Mandaviya, speaking at the occasion, stated that "the country is
progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the
Government has linked health with growth since only a healthy populace can
contribute to national development." "The focus needs to be on
wellness and treatment; we must ensure that our people do not fall sick in the
first place, which is why our government has been emphasizing Health and
Wellness Centers," said the Union Health Minister.

Mandaviya, Minister of Health, also stated that any policy should be
forward-thinking. The government is not only constructing additional medical
facilities but also expanding the number of medical institutions and MBBS
seats.
"By the time
the nation's youth graduate from Medical Colleges," the Minister
continued, "the country would have evolved into a medical tourism hub,
providing treatment to patients from all over the world; the cornerstone of
India's vision has been to seek the wellbeing of all."

Mandaviya added, "around 3 out of every 10 scientists and research
scholars worldwide are Indian. The Government's research policy
encourages and supports talented youth who wish to pursue innovative research
projects, whether they are from a private institution or a public one. India
aims to be a leader in innovation and research."
Padma Bhushan Anna
Hazare congratulated the Government of India for establishing Ahmednagar's
Health Infrastructure, including the village of Ralegan Siddhi, in a virtual
address to the crowd. Dr Sujay Vikhe Patil, Member of Parliament for Ahmednagar
and Trustee of the Dr Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation, stated that in the last
two years, projects worth Rs.1347 Lakhs had been completed in the Ahmednagar
district under the Dr Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation.
Also present at the
event were Dr Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Maharashtra Minister for Revenue,
Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Dr Sadashiv Lokhande, Member of
Parliament from Shirdi Constituency and others.
