Kabul: Hundreds of Afghans, mostly women, took to the streets of Kabul on Tuesday in an anti-Pakistan rally. The protesters chanted slogans against Islamabad and ISI. As the protests intensified, the Taliban opened fire on the rally.
To disperse the protesters in the capital, the Taliban fired shots. The protesters were marching towards a hotel in Kabul, namely Serena Hotel where the Pakistan ISI director is staying since last week.
The development comes as Pakistan's intelligence ISI chief Lt Gen Faiz Hameed met with Mullah Baradar during his visit to Kabul on Monday.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesman, confirmed that the ISI chief met Baradar. Taliban had earlier assured Pakistan that Afghanistan's territory won't be used for any terrorist activities amid the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan(TTP) threat in the border areas.
Last week, three Pakistan paramilitary soldiers were killed, and 20 got severely injured in a suicide bomb attack in Quetta as the (TTP) claimed responsibility for the attack.
