As per the news agency AFP, Mamun Mia, a lawyer representing a private citizen confirmed the development, stating, "A case has been filed against Sheikh Hasina and six others." He also noted that the Dhaka Metropolitan Court has instructed the police to proceed with the "murder case against the accused," which marks the beginning of a criminal investigation under Bangladeshi law.
