Hive of bees followed a car for 48 hours; here's why

Digital Desk: A hive of bees followed a car for two days in Wales, United Kingdom, which left crowed in confusion. People were shocked to see a swarm of bees following the vehicle.

However, the car owners, including the public, somehow managed to flee the bees away on the first day. People called out beekeepers for handling the hive of bees that followed the car.

The 68-year-old Carol Howarth had no idea about why the group of bees followed her car for two days. Carol informed that she headed for shopping while parking her car in the parking area. When she has returned to the spot, she was amazed to see the hive of bees on top of her car.

Initially, Carol was clueless about what to do. She contacted the beekeeper's association which later set the bees on a container. However, their efforts failed when the bees followed the car again for the second day.

This incident of bees following a car showed the loyalty of bees to their queen. The reason why the bees followed the car will amaze you. It was because the queen of the group of bees was in the car's trunk.

"I have been beekeeping for 30 years and I have never seen a swarm do that. It is natural for them to follow the queen. But it is a strange thing to see and quite surprising to have a car followed for two days. It was quite amusing," the beekeeper stated.

He added, "Apparently bees can swarm at this time of the year and it is a very strong instinct for them to follow the queen."

Such an incident only depicts how the queen turns out to be the most crucial part of any hive of bees. A queen of any group of bees rules their kingdom.
