Digital Desk: Amid the continuous conflict, Israel and Hamas will begin a four-day cease-fire on Friday morning, with the release of 13 Israeli women and children hostages.
According to Qatar Ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari, who made the statement in Doha, the first group of hostages would be released by 4 p.m. local time. Aid is expected to flood into Gaza.
Notably, 50 captives would be released over the next four days. According to Al-Ansari, Palestinians will also be liberated from Israeli prisons.
A hospital in Gaza was one among the targets struck, officials confirmed news agency Reuters, only hours before the ceasefire. Israel's military forces and the Palestinian Hamas group have agreed to resume operations where they left off.
The truce will most likely begin at 7 a.m. local time and will cover both the north and south of Gaza, according to the Qatari foreign ministry.
According to Hamas reports, 200 trucks per day will transport fuel into Gaza.
According to statistics, 13,300 Palestinians and 1,200 Israelis have been killed since Hamas utilised trucks, motor gliders, and boats to enter Israeli towns on October 7, igniting the ongoing battle.
According to the Health Ministry in Hamas-controlled territory, approximately 11,000 Palestinians have died as a result of weeks of Israeli bombardment in Gaza, followed by a land assault.
The ministry also stated that, as of November 11, it could no longer count the deceased due to the collapse of critical elements of the health system.
