Digital Desk: The Palestinian health ministry has reported that 13 individuals, including five children, lost their lives as a result of Israeli forces conducting a raid and carrying out an airstrike on a Palestinian Nur Shams refugee camp situated in the occupied West Bank.

This incident occurred on the 14th day of the Israel-Hamas war, as Israel's defense chief instructed his troops to prepare for potential entry into the Gaza Strip with the aim of dismantling the Palestinian militant group, Hamas.

The conflict has not gone unnoticed on the international stage, with President Joe Biden addressing the situation in a speech on Friday. He stressed the need to prevent terrorists like 'Hamas' from achieving their objectives and referred to tyrants like 'Putin' in the context of broader global challenges.

Biden underscored the existential threat Hamas poses to Israel's democracy and urged for consideration of the humanity of innocent Palestinians who only want to live in peace and have opportunities.

In a related development, there have been reports of multiple attacks on American troops in Iraq and Syria in recent days, leaving Washington on high alert due to concerns about the actions of Iran-backed groups. These regional tensions have escalated amid the Israel-Hamas conflict.

In response to Hamas's attack on October 7th, Israel initiated a continuous barrage of the Gaza Strip, resulting in a significant loss of life with an estimated 1,400 casualties, primarily civilians. Gaza's health ministry reports that the ongoing Israeli strikes have had a devastating toll, with at least 3,785 Palestinians losing their lives and another 12,493 sustaining injuries in the region.

Over the past two weeks, President Joe Biden has deployed significant naval forces to the Middle East, including two aircraft carriers, additional warships, and approximately 2,000 Marines, in response to the escalating situation in the region.

The world watches with concern as the Israel-Hamas conflict continues to unfold, with efforts for peace and humanitarian concerns at the forefront of global attention.
