Lives Could Be Lost In Kabul Airlift: Joe Biden

Washington: US President Joe Biden said that the Kabul airlift has been one of the largest and most difficult evacuations in history.

"Americans who want to come home, we will get you home." said the President

Answering the reporters, Mr. Biden said the US military would make the "same commitment" to 50-65,000 Afghan allies hoping to leave, before adding the evacuation of American citizens was the "priority".

"Make no mistake, this evacuation mission is dangerous. It involves risks to our armed forces and it's being conducted under difficult circumstances," said The President.

"I cannot promise what the final outcome will be or that it will be without risk of loss. But as commander in chief, I can assure you that I will mobilize every resource necessary," he added.

Highlighting the troubles faced during the evacuation process from the Kabul Airport, Joe Biden asserted that, the evacuation of all trapped Americans won't be possible as the Taliban are allowing entry to those who are showing their US passport.

However, reports suggest that US citizens are being denied access to the airport who are trying to exit from Afghanistan, and upon escape, they are being captured and beaten up by the Taliban.

Meanwhile, Indian Air Force rescue plane  -C130J has taken off from Kabul carrying Indians on the flight on Saturday and is the 3rd evacuation flight from Kabul.
