Nationwide protest against the killing of reporter Abdul Wahid Raisani: Pakistan
Digital Desk: Pakistan has witnessed nationwide protests against the alleged murder of a journalist, Abdul Wahid Raisani, in the nation. Initially, the Pakistan Newspaper Editors' Council (CPNE) was protesting against the brutal incident but later followed by thousands of citizens.

Journalists in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan are demanding justice and responsibility two days after unidentified shooters shot dead a journalist in the regional capital.

The Balochistan Union of Journalists opposed outside the regional legislature in Quetta on April 26. They have boycotted delivering media service of the assembly's proceedings.

The regional media body is attacking the government to arrest those involved in the brutal murder of Abdul Wahid Raisani, a journalist with the regional Urdu-language Azadi newspaper.

Raisani was attacked while returning home in Quetta on the evening of April 24, police said. It was not instantly obvious who shot the reporter.

Police stated an inquiry was underway, and the murder may have happened when robbers tried to rob Raisani's motorbike.
