Satellite clip captures undersea volcano eruption in Tonga, triggers Tsunami
Digital Desk: The Satellites orbiting Earth spotted an explosive undersea volcano eruption in the South Pacific kingdom of Tonga on Thursday.

Soon after the fierce undersea volcano eruption, Tonga was hit by the Tsunami waves. Dr. Faka'iloatonga Taumoefolau shared video footage of waves smashing through his garden, grounds from the coast of sea lines.

The video footage showed how the Tsunami waves which within seconds got the ground deluged in water. The undersea volcano eruption was so powerful that it could be heard in Fiji, more than 800km away.

Satellite video clips captured the moment of the undersea volcano eruption, causing ash, steam, and gas 20 kilometers into the air. This eruption was seven times more effective than its prototype on December 20 last year.

Tonga Meteorological Services issued a tsunami alert for the whole of Tonga just after 5.30 pm, RNZ noted. "Phone connections are down, and it's been challenging for people to get through. The explosion, between 5:20 pm and 5:28 pm, the eruption forced windows to bang, homes to shake, and ash in the wind," the news portal counted.

"A undersea volcano eruption just exploded, and individuals have evacuated to higher ground now from potential tsunami waves even ash flakes are falling. Now the ash clouds are encircling the island of Tongatapu," a local was quoted.

Moreover, the National Emergency Management Agency stated that there is a possibility that some parts of New Zealand could anticipate "strong and unique winds and unexpected waves at the beach following a big volcanic explosion."

Fiji Meteorological Service has warned people to stay away from coastal areas to avoid getting smashed by the unexpected waves and currents of the undersea volcano eruption.

The service has also issued a warning urging people of low coastal areas to take proper measures and move to safety sites at the earliest.
