British PM Boris Johnson, amid a wave of resignations, said, "My responsibility is to keep going."

But honestly, Johnson remarked, "the role of a prime minister in trying times when you have been given a massive mandate is to keep going." And I am going to do just that.

    Digital Desk: Despite mounting
pressure to resign, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told legislators on
Wednesday that he would "stay on" despite a wave of resignations from
his cabinet, including that of two important ministers.

    In
answer to a query from a politician from his own party asking if the prime
minister thought there were any situations in which he should resign, Johnson
made the comments in parliament. ’

    Clearly,
Johnson told parliament, "If there were conditions where I believed it was
difficult for the government to continue and discharge the mandate that we've
been given, or if I felt, for example, that we were being hindered in our
desire to support the Ukrainian people, then I would."

    But
honestly, Johnson remarked, "the role of a prime minister in trying times
when you have been given a massive mandate is to keep going." And I am
    going to do just that.
