    India should protect the rights of Minorities: UN Chief

    said, "Voice of India can gain authority and credibility on the global
    stage if it commits itself to Human Rights at home." The UN chief made
    this remark while addressing students at IIT Bombay during his India visit.

    Chief condemns hate speech unequivocally. He added that the freedom of
    journalists, human rights activists, and students must be protected.



    color:#252525">He also emphasized that India, as an elected member of the human
    rights council, should protect global human rights and also the rights of
    minorities as well.



    color:#252525">"By practicing the values of Gandhi, by securing and
    upholding the rights and dignity of all people, especially the most
    vulnerable," the Chief added.
