NASA's Satellite Photographs a "Creepy" Smiley Face on the Sun's Surface Following the solar eclipse

NASA shared the image on Twitter, which showed a face-like pattern made of black patches against the Sun's otherwise fiery features.

    Digital Desk: Following
Tuesday's partial solar eclipse, the Sun's atmosphere developed what appeared
to be a smiley face pattern. NASA shared the image on Twitter, which showed a
face-like pattern made of black patches against the Sun's otherwise fiery
    features.

"Say cheese! Today, NASA's Solar Dynamics
Observatory captured the Sun "smiling." Seen in ultraviolet light,
these dark patches on the Sun are known as coronal holes, and are regions where
solar wind quickly gushes out into space," the American space agency wrote
    in the post's caption.
