Digital Desk: Russian President Vladimir Putin's health is reportedly deteriorating day by day. Images of unusual marks and colours on Putin's hands have recently gone viral on social media. These photographs went viral after a US intelligence report suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin was suffering from an advanced type of cancer.
UK's former chief of the defence staff Lord Dannatt raised the issue of Putin's health during a recent interview with Sky News. Lord Dannatt is also a member of the House of Commons. Putin's hands, he claimed, appeared to be black on top.
"Keen observers now are noticing that his hands are looking pretty black on top, which is a sign of injections going in when other parts of the body can't take injections," Lord Dannatt told Sky News. He added that it would be interesting to see if Putin is actually as healthy and fit as he would want to appear.
Notably, a US intelligence report published a few months ago revealed that the Russian President may be suffering from cancer. Reportedly, Putin also survived an assassination attempt in March of this year.
The Russian President turned 70 earlier this year. Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24 of this year. Several stories have raised concerns about Putin's health since the Russian invasion. Earlier in September, Putin appeared to walk with a limp while attending Russia's major Vostok war games. According to reports, he may be dealing with Parkinson's disease or cancer.
Notably, despite initially succeeding, Russia suffered a setback in Ukraine's southern district of Kherson. In late August, the Ukrainian Army started a counteroffensive against the Russian Army. Ukraine claims to have retaken a number of town on Kherson. According to reports, Putin is also under fire in his home country for invading Ukraine.
