Russian President Vladimir Putin has only 3 years to live: Claims spy

He also stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is 69 years old, is suffering from headaches and that his eyesight is rapidly worsening.

Digital Desk: A Russian intelligence operative has stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is rapidly losing his eyesight and has only three years to live.

As per the Independent, an Russian Federal Security Service officer claimed that Putin is suffering from "rapidly advancing cancer."  He also stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is 69 years old, is suffering from headaches and that his eyesight is rapidly worsening.

But, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has refuted all the allegations that President Vladimir Putin's health condition is deteriorating day by day.

Meanwhile, unverified reports said that Putin, who turns 70 this year, is suffering from declining health concerns and may have been diagnosed with cancer and Parkinson's disease.

According to the Daily Mail, Lavrov stated in an interview with French television that no one "sensible" could detect any signs of illness in Putin, who supposedly has his food inspected before eating it and prohibits his staff from standing too close to him.

The news comes as warfare in Ukraine's east heats up, with forces from Moscow and Kyiv competing for control of Severodonetsk, a city in the Luhansk Oblast.

"You can watch him on screens, read and listen to his talks. I'll leave it up to the conscience of people who promote false information,"  Lavrov said.

Notably, Lavrov's comments came amid rumours that the Kremlin was reusing old Putin's footage for various meetings. As per the Daily Mail, reports about Putin's health have been contradictory, with accounts conflicting on whether Putin had thyroid, stomach, or blood cancer.

Kyrylo Budanov, the Ukrainian military intelligence service head, previously stated that he believes Putin still has a "few more years" in him. His remarks indicated that the Ukrainians believe Putin has cancer, but they are unsure how serious the ailment is or how much it will affect Putin's capacity to direct Russian military strategy and influence the country.
