Six things to keep in mind for better mental health management

Stressors may change their form and context, but they will never leave your life. Maintaining a self-care routine is essential.

Digital Desk: Despite the fact that the conveniences and luxuries of everyday life are more abundant than ever before, an increasing number of people are expressing dissatisfaction, stress, and loneliness. In the midst of a whirlwind of personal commitments and unforgiving deadlines, our own self is frequently pushed to the backburner of our priorities.

Self-care is a necessity, not a luxury, if you don't want to be overwhelmed by life, unhappy, or exhausted.

Here are the six simple things to follow for a good Mental Health Management:

    1. Body Relaxation - Looking after our physical well-being is the first step in self-care. Taking time for physical activity, or better yet, playing a sport, can do wonders for physical and mental fitness, even in the midst of our stresses. Simple things like eating regular meals, staying hydrated, feeling the breeze on your face, and getting at least 6 to 9 hours of sleep every night can help a lot. Substances have a negative impact on our mood and health.

    2. Take a break from Gadgets - What began as a means of increasing efficiency and simplifying our lives has now become one of our most significant sources of stress. We find it difficult to disconnect from our devices, whether for work or relaxation. Take a break from your devices to re-energize yourself. Before going to bed, avoid using screens and instead engage in activities that take place in the real world. You will have a better night's sleep.

    3. Rejuvenation and Relaxation - After every 45 minutes of work, take a short break. Simultaneously, balance work responsibilities in a way that allows for some downtime so that we can return stronger and continue our efforts.

    4. Creativity - Creative activities are a wonderful way to unwind, disconnect from the stresses of everyday life, and express ourselves freely. Rejuvenate yourself by participating in artistic activities such as painting, music, or dance. Learning other skills that aren't necessarily related to your job but that you believe will improve your overall quality of life can also be beneficial.

    5. Learn to show Gratitude - The way we see the world can have an impact on our happiness. Shifting our perspectives to a more positive, growth-oriented mindset can help us deal with the challenges we face. Gratitude is one way to deliberately focus on the positive aspects of any situation.

    6. Cherish Relationships - Relationships are perhaps the most important aspect of self-care because the self exists in relation to others. Spend quality time with friends and family, and even at work, try to establish a social support system. When you can, lend a helping hand, and don't be afraid to ask for assistance. Ask yourself if you spend enough time with your friends face to face and what you do to nurture your friendships and family relationships. Finally, be gentle with yourself and forgive yourself.

Aforesaid are some simple steps to follow in our daily lives to keep ourselves happy and to keep our mental health a priority .
