Digital Desk: The most important
aspect of life is to be alive. It is, however, the most difficult part. It is
necessary to have fun in order to feel fully alive. But because we believe in a
distorted definition of "fun," we feel dead on the inside.
"In
reality, fun is not just a light-hearted pleasure," says Catherine Price,
an author and science journalist. It's not just for kids, and it's not for fun.
Instead, having fun is the key to feeling alive.
"She believes that the word
"fun" has been made to sound frivolous and optional. "There is
an element of serendipity in it," she says, adding that someone who is
having a good time will appear to be "illuminated from within."

their "fun" stories, it appears as if a fire is lit inside them.
"So much of life drains us," she adds, "but fun fills us
up."
She
claims that having fun can make us feel relaxed and healthy. She defines fun as
a "flow state" that forces us to stay in the present moment and enjoy
every moment. Price also believes that having fun has the potential to bring
people together; we connect as humans without regard for
caste, religion, or nationality.
She believes that we can have more fun
in life if we do something that "fills your life with more moments of
playfulness, connection, and flow." "It is a distillation of life's
energy," she says of fun, "and the more often we experience it, the
more we will [feel] like we are alive."
