This is the second instance of a student taking their own life due to stress from their studies that has come to light.
Digital Desk: A second-year BSC student at Manipal University in Karnataka took his own life by jumping from the top of a six-story building on the campus in Udupi. He did this because he was found cheating on an exam and faced consequences, reports said.
Social media users have taken to sharing a video of the 20-year-old, known as Satyam Suman, who is seen for a while looking down from the top of the building before jumping. The boy, who was from Bihar, reportedly took this extreme action out of fear for his upcoming examinations.
Students who were present and witnessed the unfortunate incident expressed distress about the tragedy. A case regarding this occurrence from last Saturday has been filed at the Manipal police station.
Police said, "Student was caught engaging in malpractice during the exam. Following a warning, he was expelled from the examination hall. Subsequently, he faced humiliation, leading to this tragic decision to end his life."

On Tuesday, a teenage schoolgirl was discovered dead at her residence in Lucknow's Para area. Her family stated that she was pronounced dead at the KGMU Trauma Center despite attempts to save her.
The incident was discovered when the victim's mother—who also happens to be the principal of the school where her daughter studies—returned home in the evening and discovered her daughter was unconscious, as stated by additional deputy commissioner of police Vishwajeet Srivastava. She rushed the girl to a local private hospital with the assistance of neighbors before sending her to KGMU. The girl's father, according to Srivastava, is a bishop.
