Digital Desk: The dates of general elections in the country have been announced. Elections will be held in seven phases and the results will be declared on June 4. Let us know the timing of voting on those seats which are high profile seats. High-profile seats like Varanasi, Wayanad, or Amethi are also among these seats.

Varanasi

The most anticipated and elite seat in this election will be the Prime Minister’s constituency Varanasi seat of Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi is the candidate from the BJP for this seat and till now no opposition party has decided their candidate. Modi will be contesting from the Varanasi constituency for the third time.

Elections for this seat will be held in the seventh phase on June 1.

Wayanad Seat

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is the MP from Wayanad seat. This time too he will be seen contesting from the same Wayanad seat on behalf of Congress. The party has already announced his name. The Republican Party of India (Athawale) (RPI), which is part of the ruling NDA coalition, has announced its candidate for the seat (Nusrat Jahan).

Elections for this seat will be held in the second phase on April 26. 

Nagpur 

There has been a lot of discussion about the Nagpur seat in recent times. This was discussed because it was revealed in the news that BJP may not give the ticket to Nitin Gadkari this time but nothing like this happened. This time also Nitin Gadkari will contest elections from here.

When is the election on this seat: Elections on the Nagpur seat of Maharashtra will be held in the first phase on April 19.

Amethi

This high-profile seat of UP remains in discussion. Smriti Irani is the MP from BJP on this seat which was once the stronghold of the Gandhi-Nehru family. Here she defeated Rahul Gandhi. Till now Congress has not announced its candidate for Amethi.

Voting on this seat will be held in the fifth phase on May 20.

Lucknow 

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is the candidate from BJP on this seat which is considered to be the stronghold of BJP and he is also the sitting MP here. This time it remains to be seen how the competition will be.

Gandhinagar

Home Minister Amit Shah is in the fray in this seat of Gujarat. Therefore, this seat is being considered a very hot seat across the country. It is already believed that Congress may lose this seat by a long margin.

Elections will be held on this Lok Sabha seat of Gujarat in the third phase on 7th May.

Mumbai North

This seat is in discussion this time because Union Minister Piyush Goyal is contesting from here. Piyush Goyal is currently the leader of the Rajya Sabha. He has been presenting strong arguments in Parliament on behalf of the Central Government. He is considered the most core member of Team Modi. For the first time, he is contesting the Lok Sabha elections.

Elections for this Lok Sabha seat will be held in the fifth phase on May 20.

New Delhi

The seat of the country's capital, this seat is always in the news but this time it is special because BJP's dynamic young leader Bansuri Swaraj is in the fray from here. She has already become in the news due to her election campaign. Many people know that she is the daughter of former BJP stalwart and late Sushma Swaraj.

The sixth phase of elections on this Lok Sabha seat will be held on 25th May.

Vidisha

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is in the fray on this seat, which was once the electoral battlefield of Atal and Sushma. It also remains hot because Shivraj is leaving the post of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and contesting the Lok Sabha elections.

Elections on this Lok Sabha seat of Madhya Pradesh will be held in the third phase on 7th May.
