Yadav criticized the investigative authorities for failing to arrest Mukhiya, attributing this lapse to Mukhiya's political affiliations.
Digital Desk: The Bihar Police launched a search for Sanjeev Mukhiya, a key figure implicated in the leaked papers scandal, prompting RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to assert that Mukhiya's political connections are extensive. Yadav pledged to disclose all such ties in due course.
Yadav criticized the investigative authorities for failing to arrest Mukhiya, attributing this lapse to Mukhiya's political affiliations. He declared, "I will soon reveal his associations with politicians." Addressing reporters, the former Bihar Chief Minister urged the agencies to conduct an impartial investigation before he makes significant revelations, cautioning that those found guilty will face consequences.
These developments unfolded following the RJD's release of a photograph showing Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary with Amit Anand, another accused in the NEET paper leak case. In response to inquiries, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha alleged that Tejashwi Yadav's Personal Secretary (PS), Pritam, had been summoned for questioning by the Economic Offences Unit of the Bihar Police.
Sinha further pressed Yadav to clarify his family's connections with Sikandar Yadavendu and Anurag Yadav, both arrested about the NEET case. Sinha claimed Yadav had prior knowledge of Yadavendu's activities, highlighting his service to Lalu Prasad Yadav during the latter's imprisonment in Ranchi.
The NEET-UG 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), took place at 4,750 centers across 571 cities, attracting over 24 lakh candidates. Allegations of irregularities surfaced immediately after the June 4th results announcement, particularly concerning 67 students achieving top scores amid accusations of question paper leaks in Bihar.
