Atishi slams BJP with Delhi's achievement in affordable power supply
The newly appointed CM of Delhi in her inaugural press conference shed light on the success of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in providing low electricity rates to every households.
Digital Desk : Atishi addressed the press revealing that around 3.7 million families pay zero electricity bills and the other 1.5 million families pay half the standard amount. She added that compared to BJP ruled states electricity bills this amount is very much reasonable and affordable in Delhi.
Atishi emphasized on the stark difference of rates for 400 units of electricity among BJP led states and Delhi. In Gujrat's Ahmedabad its Rs 2,044 in Haryana's Gurugram Rs 2,300, and in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra the rates are,; Rs 2,900 ; Rs 3,800 ; Rs 4,400 , respectively while Delhi households pay Rs 980 for the same. She also added that along with these high rates imposed thereby follows long power cuts as well.
Atishi stated the reason why electricity rates are low in Delhi and accessible to every household is because of AAP's management. She added that this will remain intact until the people of Delhi continue their support for Arvind Kejriwal's leadership in the upcoming assembly elections and have faith in Aam Aadmi Party.
