Patna: Bihar government will reopen all educational institutions from July 6 if the covid-19 situation remains stable, announced the state Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhury.
The Minister said, “If the Covid-19 situation keeps improving like this and remained stable, all government and private educational institutions across the States will be reopening in a phased manner after July 6.”
Since, April 5 all the educational institutions were closed due to the pandemic.
According to the government report, all the educational institutions will open in a phased manner. In the first phase, universities and colleges would be allowed to open with 50 per cent of students adhering to covid-19 protocol. In the second phase, senior secondary and secondary classes would resume and in the third phase classes from 1 to 5 would start functioning.
However, parents consent for sending their children to schools is mandatory.
The coaching institutes can open but the timing of the classes could not be the same said an official of the education department.
