Digital Desk: The Parliamentary session for Budget 2022 will begin today. President Ram Nath Kovind will address both Houses in the Central Hall at 11 am on Monday. The session will conclude on April 8, 2022.
After the address of the President, the Lok Sabha will start its transaction of business. There are specific key points to understand for Budget 2022:
According to the Secretariat, the Economic Survey 2021-22 will be laid by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman in Lok Sabha on January 31. The Budget will be presented by her on February 1 at 11 am.
On the first day of the parliamentary session, President Ram Nath Kovind will address Houses members- Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
On the second day, the Union Budget for 2022-23 will be introduced in the Lok Sabha by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman.
There will be no question hours and zero hours during the first two days of the parliament budget session.
Both the Houses will sit one hour less for every session due to prevailing conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the first part of the session after the presentation of the Budget (February 2-11), the release stated 40 hours of regular time would be open for different Businesses such as Question, Private Members' Business, Discussion on Motion of Thanks, General Discussion on Union Budget, etc.
Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu has called a virtual conference of chiefs of parties and groups at 5 pm today to examine the plan for this Budget session.
Proper arrangements have been made to ensure safety amid the pandemic. To maintain social distancing, members will be assigned seats in Lok Sabha Chamber (282), Lok Sabha Galleries (except Press Gallery) (148), Rajya Sabha Chamber (60), and Rajya Sabha Gallery (51).
Arrangements have been ensured in the complex of the parliament for proper testing of the Covid-19.
