    CBSE releases Class 10,12 Date sheet for Term 1 exams

    New Delhi: Starting this academic year on a positive note amid covid restrictions, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday released the date sheet of Class 10 and 12 term 1 board exams online on cbse.gov.in.





    As per the notice, exams for Class 10 will begin from November 30 and continue till December 11. For Class 12 students, papers will be held from December 1 to December 22.





    The board will be first conducting exams for the minor subjects and thereafter the examinations for the major subjects will be conducted. Minor subject exams will begin on November 16 for Class 12 and November 17 for Class 10.

    Meanwhile, the board will be sending the date sheets for the minor subjects directly to the schools as the examinations for the minor subjects will be conducted in the respective schools itself. Along with the date sheets, the board will be also sending the question paper’s drafted by the board itself.





    The examinations have been scheduled from 11:30 am instead of 10:30 am. All students will get 20 minutes to read the question papers.





    Owing to the covid situation, the CBSE has decided to go with two-term board exams for its 2021-22 batch of students. Term 2 exams are scheduled for March-April, 2022. Meanwhile the exam duration has been also decreased this year. The duration of each paper will be of 90 minutes than the usual 3 hours.

    In further changes in examination patter, the CBSE has decided to divide board exam subjects into two groups – minor and major. The board will be first conducting the minor papers then followed by the major papers.





    Practical exams, internal assessment, and project work for 50 per cent of the total marks will be completed by schools before the term 1 exams are over.
