‘Bhai’ is 1000% fit… Chhota Shakeel says on the news of Dawood Ibrahim’s death
Amid these whispers, Pakistan witnessed an internet shutdown that heightened the rumours.

Digital Desk: “Rumours of Bhai’s death are baseless. He is 1,000% fit,” Chhota Shakeel, a close aide of Dawood Ibrahim, told TOI on Monday. Shakeel, who is in charge of D-Company's international activities, speculations on social media platforms, particularly in Pakistan, as mischievous rumors.

Amid these whispers, Pakistan witnessed an internet shutdown that heightened the rumours. Following his visit to Dawood in Pakistan, Shakeel gave his word that Dawood, also referred to as "Bhai," is doing well.

On the other hand, there are now rumours speculating on the possible death of terrorist Dawood Ibrahim, who is believed to have been poisoned and may have died in a hospital in Karachi. According to credible sources who spoke with ABP Live, Dawood was poisoned and sent to the hospital, where he reportedly passed between 8 and 9 pm.

The strong security ring around Dawood, which includes ISI operatives guarding him, led Indian intelligence officials to dismiss the poisoning rumours, but they did make reference to a possible recent hospitalisation at an army base.

Amidst odd developments, such as the killings of Islamist militants in Pakistan, rumours about Dawood's health began to circulate, highlighting the regime's caution ahead of India's elections.

The curiosity was heightened by rumours on social media that Pakistani cricket great Javed Miandad was under house arrest, which coincided with news concerning Dawood's condition.

Indian intelligence has confirmed Dawood's whereabouts, while Pakistan has continuously denied his being there. In the midst of these latest rumours, Pakistani officials remained silent.

Notably, information on Dawood's personal life—including a second wife called Maizabin, three girls, and a son—was recently leaked in an NIA chargesheet.

The story of Dawood Ibrahim is still a mixture of hearsay, conjecture, and Pakistan's continuous denials, which adds levels of intrigue to the mystery surrounding his true whereabouts and state of health.
