    Congress to stage massive protest against fuel price hike from November 14

    New Delhi: The Indian National Congress (INC) will stage a massive protest against the hike in petrol and diesel prices in the country from November 14 to November 29, informed INC.






    "We're going to have continuous agitation against rise in petrol and diesel prices, massive campaigns from November 14 till November 29," said Congress general secretary KC Venugopal.






    Reportedly, the Congress will organize 'Padyatra' throughout the country, which the Congress leaders will take out in their respective areas. Therefore, during these 15 days, one entire week, the Congress will do 'Padyatra' in their respective areas.

    Simultaneously, Senior Congress Leader P. Chidambaram attacking the Modi-led BJP government over the price hike, said, "It's all conspiracy of the Modi-led central government. Taxes on fuel should be reduced as suggested by the Reserve Bank of India."






    "It's only the greed of the government which has given rise to petrol and diesel prices. That is why RBI says pump prices deserve lower taxation. So RBI is repeatedly telling the government that pump prices must be reduced." added Chidambaram.






    Notably, the fuel price rises for the fifth consecutive day across the country on Sunday.
    Now, Petrol prices stood at Rs. 107.59 per litre in Delhi while diesel at Rs. 96.32 a litre. In Mumbai, Petrol and diesel prices stood at Rs. 113.12 and Rs. 104 a litre respectively.






    Petrol prices in Assam's Kamrup Metro district stood at Rs. 103.23 per litre on Sunday, up by Rs. 0.36, while diesel prices stood at Rs. 95.76, up by Rs. 0.37. Notably, petrol prices were highest in Assam's Lakhimpur, at Rs. 106.47 a litre and lowest in Chirang at Rs.103.18 a litre.
