Graffiti threatening Arvind Kejriwal surfaces in Delhi Metro stations, AAP blames BJP

A senior police officer said they have received information about the matter and an investigation into the same has been launched. A team has been deployed to search for the metro coach on which the messages were written.

Digital Desk: Threatening messages targeting Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal were discovered inside metro coaches at least two stations. Images of these messages circulated on social media, depicting them inscribed on the walls of metro coaches, with two specifically noted at Patel Nagar and Rajiv Chowk stations. Some images also included an Instagram handle, although it remains unclear if the messages originated from there.

A senior police official confirmed receiving information about the incident, and initiating an investigation. A dedicated team has been dispatched to locate the metro coach bearing the messages.

AAP has accused the BJP of orchestrating the incident, alleging their apprehension over potential losses in all seven Delhi constituencies in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. At a press conference, AAP representative and Delhi Minister Atishi claimed the BJP is devising various schemes to target their leader, citing previous incidents including arrest and alleged medical neglect.

Expressing concern for Kejriwal's safety, Atishi disclosed that a man had written the messages across three stations and questioned the inaction of Delhi Police. She criticized the absence of response, considering the stations are equipped with CCTV surveillance and constant security presence, insinuating BJP involvement.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh echoed Atishi's accusations, alleging the BJP's direct involvement from the Prime Minister's Office. He asserted a continuous threat to Kejriwal's life, attributing the conspiracy to Modi and BJP's animosity towards him. Singh warned of dire consequences if harm befell Kejriwal, holding the government and BJP accountable.

"The BJP has been in a state of panic ever since Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail. The BJP is now plotting to launch a deadly attack on Arvind Kejriwal. This conspiracy is being conducted directly from the Prime Minister's Office. A threat of attack on Kejriwal ji has been written at Rajiv Chowk and Patel Nagar Metro stations," Sanjay Singh added.

He claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP are so embroiled in their hatred towards Kejriwal that they are conspiring to kill the Delhi Chief Minister.

"I want to tell the government, administration and Election Commission that if anything happens to Arvind Kejriwal, the PMO, BJP and Narendra Modi will be responsible for it," Sanjay Singh said.
