Elvish along with 6 other people were named in a formal complaint (FIR) for allegedly providing snake venom at a rave party in Noida.
Digital Desk: On the matter relating to the FIR against YouTuber Elvish Yadav in the snake venom supply case, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated on Sunday that he has no influence over the investigation's progress and that the police will act if Elvish is proven guilty.
"The case will be handled by the police. We have no say over this. If Elvish Yadav is at fault, he will face consequences," said Khattar.
Elvish and Khattar had shared the platform at Khattar's fan meet, when the chief minister of Haryana congratulated the YouTuber on winning Bigg Boss OTT season 2.
Following this incident, Khattar faced intense criticism on social media from users who questioned the Haryana chief minister for not honouring and celebrating local sports heroes.
Elvish along with 6 other people were named in a formal complaint (FIR) for allegedly providing snake venom at a rave party in Noida.
The YouTuber has refuted reports that he supplied snake venom to the rave gathering.
In a personalised YouTube video on Saturday, Elvish refuted the accusations made against him and stated that he is prepared to turn himself in if he is discovered to be connected to the case.
"When I woke up, I saw the First Information Report (FIR), which stated that this complaint had been filed by Maneka Gandhi's NGO, People for Animals. According to the woman, I roam around with snakes around my neck. That was solely for the purpose of shooting a song. I will never ruin my reputation or the reputation of my family by engaging in any of these illegal acts. Whether I get ten or hundred years in prison, I will surrender myself if I have a single part in this case. Everyone is aware that I am not so low as to do this kind of work," Elvish stated.
