Digital Desk: In the ongoing firefight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, five terrorists linked with Lashkar-e-Toiba have been killed, according to a statement released by Kashmir Police on Friday.
The area is being sanitised and the operation is nearing its end, according to the Kashmir police.
"Day 2: Five terrorists neutralized by Kulgam Police, Army, and CRPF. Incriminating materials were recovered. Operation in the final stage; area being sanitized," read a post on the official X handle of Kashmir Zone Police.
Sources stated that the operation is still ongoing.

39 Rashtriya Riffles, an elite special forces unit of the Army, police, and the CRPF are all involved in the coordinated operation against the militants.
According to the IDF, on November 15, Wednesday, an attempt at infiltration was foiled along the Line of Control in the Uri Sector.
Operation Kali, a combined operation between the army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, saw the infiltrators neutralised.
The same area has seen two attempts at penetration.
A major piece in the cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir that is allowed by Pakistan, according to the Army, was Bashir Ahmed Malik, one of the two infiltrators who were murdered.
