Digital Desk: In the heart of Ayodhya, Dr. Anil Mishra and his wife, Usha Mishra, play pivotal roles as the chief hosts (pradhan yajman) for the pre-pran pratishta rituals leading up to the momentous event at the Ram Temple on January 22.
These sacred ceremonies commenced a week prior, with Yajman representing the individual for whom a yajna or ritual is conducted. Varanasi's Laxmikant Dixit assumes the role of the head priest, affirming that Prime Minister Modi will lead the Pran Pratishta day rituals.
Dr. Anil Mishra, a crucial member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, has dedicated four decades to his homeopathic clinic in Ayodhya. Hailing from UP's Ambedkar Nagar district, he retired from official positions as the registrar of the Uttar Pradesh Homeopathic Board and the district Homeopathic officer of Gonda. Dr. Mishra, who holds a Bachelor's degree in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery since 1981, has also been actively involved with the RSS.
As the pre-rituals unfolded, Dr. Mishra, as the Pradhan Yajman, undertook a purifying dip in the Saryu River and consumed panchayat before commencing the fast. Subsequently, he performed the Prashchita, Sankalpa, and Karmakuti puja, accompanied by havan rituals conducted by him and his wife.
Continuing the sacred journey, Dr. Mishra and his wife conducted the Kalash puja on Wednesday, filling pots with water from the Saryu River for ongoing rituals.
The idol of Lord Ram Lalla graced the temple premises, partaking in a serene tour with closed eyes. The day's agenda featured Jalayatra, teertha puja, Brahmin-batuk-kumari-Suvasini puja, Vardhini puja, Kalshayatra, and the idol's reverential tour.
These intricate rituals, overseen by 121 priests, have Vedic scholar Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid ensuring the sanctity of each step. As the days unfold, the sacred city of Ayodhya resonates with the spiritual echoes of these Vedic rituals ahead of the Pran Pratishta ceremony under the guidance of Dr. Anil Mishra.
