    Digital Desk: Mobile internet services were shut down in the Rajouri and Poonch districts on Friday as the security forces carried out their massive operation to find the terrorists responsible for the targeted attack on Thursday that killed four Indian Army soldiers and injured at least three others in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir.

    In addition to heightened aerial surveillance, the army has escalated ground combing operations, particularly in the woodland area of Dera ki Gali in the Rajouri sector of Poonch district.

    An official claimed sniffer dogs were also used to track down the terrorists who ambushed two army trucks en route to support a cordon-and-search operation on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. at a blind curve near Dhatyar Morh.

    The Poonch terror incident was officially claimed by the People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF). 

    Terrorists used social media to post images from the attack site, showing the use of sophisticated US-made M4 carbine assault rifles. 

    To tell you about the M4 carbine it's a lightweight, gas-powered, magazine-fed carbine that was created in the United States during the 1980s. It is the standard infantry weapon of the United States Armed Forces and has been adopted by more than 80 countries.

    Opposition leaders have condemned the terror attack in Poonch, Jammu & Kashmir, and criticised the central government's handling of security issues. 

    Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, known for his outspoken criticism of the government, drew comparisons between the Poonch ambush and the 2019 Pulwama catastrophe, which killed 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) members.

    Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Friday that the Valley's security condition is superior to that of West Bengal. "The security situation in Kashmir is better than the security situation in Bengal." "Please come to the state and see the difference," Sinha remarked at an event in Kolkata.
