Digital Desk; The idols of Lord Ram crafted by two Muslim sculptors from West Bengal's North 24 Parganas area for the upcoming grand opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

These amazing idols that will be the focus point of the temple complex have been crafted by Mohammed Jamaluddin and his son Bittu.

Ayodhya placed an order with the father-son team after their work was found online.

According to Jamaluddin, fibre sculptures are a better option for outdoor installations because of their weather resilience and longevity, even if they are more expensive than clay pieces. The rigorous workmanship required to create a life-sized fibre idol is worth around Rs 2.8 lakh cost.

In response to a question regarding whether he was hesitant to take on the project, Jamaluddin stated, "Religion is a personal thing. We have people of different religions in the country. The message is simple: in times of communalism, we all have to stay together. I felt happy making the statue of Lord Ram. This culture of brotherhood is my message as an artist."

"Not only of Ram, but I have also created huge sculptures of Maa Durga and Jagadhatri, which have gained a lot of popularity as well," he stated.

He stated with pride that he had been creating fibre sculptures of different Hindu deities for many years and that he loved the harmony of culture they represented.

Creating a life-sized statue requires a team of thirty to thirty-five workers and one to one and a half months, according to Bittu, the owner of the studio that bears his name. According to the young sculptor, it might take up to 45 days for them to transport these statues to Uttar Pradesh.
