This year, NTA enforced strict rules, including a detailed dress code
Digital Desk: The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted NEET UG 2025 examination today on 4th May, 2025 between 2 PM to 5 PM. Social media users distributed multiple fake news reports regarding the exam, although NTA established strict guidelines. Two girls faced denial of entry at Thirumuruganpundi's exam center due to metal buttons on their clothes, which triggered chaos across all candidates and their relatives.
NTA this year introduced a series of strict rules, which included detailed regulations for a proper dress code. Male candidates were prohibited from wearing light-colored half-sleeves and full-sleeves together with zippers or shirts that featured big buttons along with embroidery or wide pockets. As a safe option, both trousers and basic pants were approved by the authorities. Examinees were barred from wearing slippers and sandals and thick-soled footwear together with jeans and kurta-pyjamas, and patched clothes and sandals.
The NEET UG 2025 question paper contained 180 questions, worth a total of 720 marks. Candidates receive 4 marks for each correct response but lose 1 mark for every incorrect answer in their scores. Unanswered questions receive zero marks. Soon after the exam, leading coaching organizations will publish unofficial answer keys accompanied by detailed solutions for students' study purposes, right after the conclusion of the exam.
The official NEET UG 2025 answer key will be released by NTA in the fourth week of May on the official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/. The provision to challenge the provisional answer key is available to candidates through a designated time period.
