    Digital desk: A notification released by the Election Commission of India on Friday mentioned the prohibition of exit polls from being conducted, published, or publicized between April 19 at 7:00 AM and June 1 at 6:00 PM, when ballots are scheduled to be cast for the next Lok Sabha and four state assembly elections. 

    The released notification also made it clear that, by the Representation of the People Act, it is illegal to display any election-related content, including the findings of opinion polls or other poll surveys, in any electronic media during the 48 hours that follow the poll's scheduled conclusion. 

    In addition to the Lok Sabha polls, elections are being held for the assembly in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim. 

     Furthermore, during this time there will be bye-elections to 25 assembly constituencies spread over 12 states.
