Delhi High Court has requested the response from ED regarding both the petitioner's appeal for interim release and the main petition.
Digital Desk: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal filed a request for interim relief on Wednesday, but the Delhi High Court dismissed it. It also sent notice on Kejriwal's motion to contest his arrest and ED remand. The hearing is scheduled for April 3.
Delhi High Court has requested the response from ED regarding both the petitioner's appeal for interim release and the main petition. Judge Swarana Kanta Sharma scheduled the next hearing for April 3 and allowed the ED until April 2 to file the reply.
According to Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma's bench, to provide "effective representation," the respondent/ED must be given the chance to submit a reply.
The bench said, "Rejecting this chance would amount to denying a fair hearing and violating one of the natural justice principles, i.e., audi-alteram partem, which applies to both the parties and not one."
