Over 46% of Indian graduates under 35 years remain unemployed: Report
The country's unemployment rate rose 3 per cent to 10.09 per cent in October compared to September...

Digital Desk: The country's unemployment rate is growing rapidly under the BJP government, which has given priority to the interests of the capitalists and most businessmen.

According to the latest data from the Center for Monitoring the Indian Economy (CMIE), the country's economy grew 3 per cent in the current fiscal 2023-24, but the rapid rise in unemployment reflects another disappointing picture of the central government.

The country's unemployment rate rose 3 per cent to 10.09 per cent in October compared to September. According to the Center for Monitoring the Indian Economy, the number of unemployed in rural areas of the country has been rising faster than in urban areas in the past.

During the same period of 2022-23 and 2023-24, the unemployment rate in urban areas stood at 8.44 per cent while in rural areas stood at 10.82 per cent. The unemployment rate rose by 4 per cent to 10.82 per cent in October from 6.2 per cent in September this year.

According to the CMIE report, 46 per cent of youth aged 25 to 34 are unemployed across the country. Another concern is that 40 per cent of graduates and higher-educated people across the country have no employment opportunities and 27 per cent of uneducated people are desperate for employment. Accordingly, the unemployment problem in the country is increasing day by day.
