Digital Desk: In an outstanding demonstration of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness, 12-year-old Sprihaa Hrishi Kashyap from Assam's Morigaon district secured two gold medals for India at the prestigious 2nd Asian Yogasana Sports Championship, organised in New Delhi on April 25-27, 2025.
A budding athlete, Sprihaa won gold in the Backbending Individual Event and was also part of the winning Indian team that secured gold in the Traditional Group Event.
Her exceptional skill and techniques earned her top spots in the Championship, where she competed against 21 Asian countries.
Sprihaa is a student of Class 8 at DPS Khanapara, Guwahati. Earlier, she was also part of the popular reality show Super Dancer 2, where she showcased her exceptional flexibility in front of a national audience.
One of the rising stars in the Yogasana circuit, Sprihaa's parents have expressed their joy after her outstanding achievement at the international level.
The 2nd Asian Yogasana Sport Championship was held at the K. D. Jadhav Indoor Wrestling Hall and organised by Yogasana Bharat in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Authority of India (SAI).
Sprihaa's achievement underscores the growing prominence of India in competitive Yogasana and highlights the potential of young talents from the Northeast region on international platforms.
