On 26th November 2008, Mumbai witnessed one of the deadliest terrorist incidents in its
New Delhi: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘PM Gati Shakti – National Master Plan’ at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.
It is a INR 100 lakh crore national master plan for muti model connectivity of the economic zones of the country.
During the event, Modi said that the objectove of this new campaign is to improve infastructure that can lessen the logistic costs and boost the econmy of the nation.
Further, he also stated that the plan will add more power and speed up projects by interlinking different departments and ministries starting from aviation to railways to road to infrastructure in one single platform. This as a result will lead to coordinated development and execution of different projects, he added.

Being present at the event, PM Modi reviewed the model before launching the plan with a press of a remote button.
Apart from PM Modi, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal was also present on the ocassion. In his statement Goyal said that this new initiative will give infactructure development a new direction and also speed up the ongoing projects.
