New Delhi: Two homeless men were stabbed to death while they were asleep, by two other men in Delhi's Nizamuddin area. The incident took place on Tuesday.
According to the police, the victims were stabbed five to six times in their necks. The incident took place at around 3 am on Monday. The accused have been identified as Jugnu and Sonu. They live on the pavements of Masjid Road in Hazrat Nizamuddin.
The police arrested Sonu and Jugnu soon after the incident. During the interrogation, Jugnu said that the two homeless victims had borrowed Rs 50 from him a few days ago and were not returning it.

Whenever Sonu asked for the money, the accused allegedly threatened and humiliated him, Hindustan Times reported. On Monday, Jugnu met the victims - Mayur Thomas and Lokesh Bahadur - and asked for his money. Thomas and Bahadur allegedly assaulted and humiliated him in front of other homeless persons.
Following this, Sonu took a knife and around two hours later, he returned to the footpath where the two homeless persons Thomas and Bahadur were sleeping. He allegedly stabbed them and fled from the spot.
The Hazrat Nizamuddin police station received a call on Tuesday about two persons bleeding profusely with stab wounds on their necks.
A team rushed to the spot and took the victims to AIIMS, where they were declared brought dead. The police then lodged a case of murder and launched a probe. With the help of eyewitnesses and other leads, the cops managed to nab the accused.
