Digital Desk: The fervor surrounding the ICC World Cup 2023 final between cricketing juggernauts India and Australia has reached its pinnacle, with Indian Railways stepping in to cater to the enthusiastic fans thronging to Ahmedabad for the showdown. Anticipating the massive influx of spectators, the Indian Railways has unveiled a strategic plan to operate special trains from Delhi and Mumbai to accommodate the surge of passengers heading for the final match on Sunday at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In a bid to ease the burden on cricket aficionados grappling with exorbitant airfares, the railways has devised an affordable alternative, offering seats at reasonable rates varying from ₹620 for sleeper seats to ₹3,490 for first AC seats. This move has garnered appreciation, providing a much-needed respite from the inflated travel expenses.

The schedule of these special trains aligns seamlessly with the event, ensuring convenient travel for the fans. Departing on Saturday evening, these trains will reach Ahmedabad early on Sunday, allowing passengers to witness the high-voltage match. Moreover, post the electrifying game, the trains will depart from Ahmedabad in the early hours of Monday, accommodating the return journey for the attendees.

Reservations for these special trains commenced on Saturday and can be conveniently accessed through the IRCTC website. For Mumbai travelers, the train routes encompass significant stations like CSMT, Dadar, Thane, Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara, culminating at Ahmedabad, facilitating smooth transit for cricket enthusiasts.

The anticipation for the final match, reminiscent of the 2003 World Cup showdown between India and Australia, is palpable. The recent victory of Team India against New Zealand in the semi-finals has only heightened the excitement, promising an exhilarating clash between cricketing giants.

In essence, the Indian Railways' initiative stands as a testament to the commitment of facilitating accessible and affordable travel, ensuring that cricket fans across the nation can revel in the thrill of witnessing this historic event firsthand.
