Digital Desk: Six college students died early Tuesday in a terrible traffic accident in the capital of Uttarakhand, Dehradun. Around two in the morning, a truck struck an Innova car carrying seven students close to the ONGC crossroads. The vehicle was broken due to the force of the accident.
The Innova broke into pieces after the vehicle collided with a tree, according to early reports. Three boys and three girls tragically perished instantly, and another student was seriously hurt and taken to the hospital. According to reports, all seven pupils attended a private college in the area. The truck driver had already left the vehicle and fled when police swiftly arrived on the scene. To recover the injured and victims, rescue crews had to hack through the debris. One of the dead was sent to Mahant Indresh Hospital, and the other five were taken to Doon Hospital.
With speeding and late-night collisions becoming more frequent, this tragic event underscores a growing worry about youth road safety. To stop more disasters like this one, authorities advise drivers to drive carefully, especially at night.
