    Isha Foundation's Sadhguru Undergoes Brain Surgery After 'Life-Threatening Situation’

    Senior Consultant Neurologist Vinit Suri of Apollo Hospital in Delhi provided details on the same in a video posted by the Isha Foundation


    Digital Desk: Spiritual guide and founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, had emergency brain surgery at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, Isha Foundation took to X on Wednesday. Over the past four weeks, Sadhguru had been suffering from excruciating headaches. Upon examination, physicians discovered that his brain was swollen and heavily bleeding. As a result, surgery was necessary.

     

    Senior Consultant Neurologist Vinit Suri of Apollo Hospital in Delhi provided details on the same in a video posted by the Isha Foundation, who stated that Sadhguru was in a "life-threatening situation." In addition to the bleeding, a CT scan indicated a significant enlargement in his brain.


    After the news went viral, Sadhguru took to ‘X’ sharing a video of himself saying in his witty style, “The Apollo Hospital neurosurgeons cut through my skull and tried to find something and found nothing… here I am in Delhi with a patched-up skull….” 

     

    Under the supervision of a group of medical professionals (Drs. Vinit Suri, Pranav Kumar, Sudheer Tyagi, and S Chatterjee), he had emergency brain surgery to stop the bleeding in his skull a few hours after being admitted. After surgery, Sadhguru was weaned off of the ventilator.

     

    The physician went on to say that an MRI revealed extensive brain haemorrhage in him. He had surgery thereafter.

     

    Sadhguru has made consistent improvements, returning to normal in terms of his body, mind, and vital signs. Apart from the medical steps we implemented, Sadhguru is mending himself, and his recuperation has gone considerably better than anticipated, according to Dr. Suri.
