Man kills mother, 4 sisters on New Year: Records video blaming neighbors

Digital Desk: A UP man identified as Arshad killed his mother and four sisters in a Lucknow hotel on New Year's Day. The man recorded a video after the horrific crime and claimed that he killed them to save their honor. Arshad claimed that he killed his family members by giving them alcohol and then strangled them with a dupatta and slit their throats and wrists with a blade.

The killer also revealed that his father assisted him to commit the crime. After the heinous crime, Arshad dropped his father at a railway station and entered the police station to confess. He also recorded a video where he blamed his neighbors for their intention to sell his sisters in  Hyderabad.

The deceased had been identified as Asma(49), Rahmeen(18), Alishia(19), Aksa(16), and Alia(9). The bodies of the deceased had been sent for postmortem and police recovered a dupatta and a blade from the crime scene. 

The police have been investigating the matter and found out that Arshad pre-recorded the video. His father, Badar who is still at large, is also involved in the murder, according to police sources. Later Arshad also revealed that his father was the mastermind behind the crime, who brought intoxicants to mix with the food the deceased women ate.

The police officials have said that the 24-year-old Arshad had recorded the confession video to mislead the investigation. He was also trying to falsely accuse his neighbors of stealing their property and selling his sisters. The neighbors revealed that both Arshad and Badar had no
interaction with them.

The five dead bodies were buried in Sambhal on Friday in front of Asma's family. Asma's brother said that he received a phone call from Arshad on the same day he committed the crime, revealing the killing of his family. He also demanded Arshad's death penalty and remembered his sister as a loving and caring woman.
