Rahul Gandhi Dares PM Modi for Public Debate on Lok Sabha Elections 2024

I am 100% ready to debate with the Prime Minister on public issues on any platform," Gandhi said

Digital Desk: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has responded positively to an invitation for a public debate on the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. The invitation, extended by former Supreme Court judge Madan B Lokur, former High Court Chief Justice AP Shah, and veteran journalist N Ram, aims to facilitate a constructive dialogue between key political leaders.

The veterans have invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to a public debate on the Lok Sabha Election 2024.

In a recent meeting in Lukhnow, Rahul Gandhi said, "I am 100% ready to debate with the Prime Minister on public issues on any platform," Gandhi declared. "But I know him, he will 100% not debate with me."

In the invitation, they said that the members of the public have listened only to allegations and challenges from either side and have not heard any "meaningful response." Saying that today's digital world has a great tendency for misinformation, misrepresentation, and manipulation, they stressed the importance of making the public well-educated about all factors so that they can make an informed selection at the elections.

"A public debate such as this would therefore set a great precedent not just by educating the public but also in projecting the true image of a healthy and vibrant democracy," stated the letter that was shared by Ram in his 'X' handle.

In his letter, Rahul Gandhi expressed gratitude for the invitation and highlighted the importance of such a debate in enabling voters to understand the vision of different parties and make informed decisions. The letter reads, “As the principal parties fighting the election, the public deserve to hear from their leaders directly. Accordingly, either myself or the Congress President would be pleased to participate in such a debate.”

However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has yet to react to the invitation, and Congress supporters have been trolling the PM for his inaction. However, BJP supporters seem not interested in the debate.

The three suggested Modi and Gandhi appoint a representative for the debate if either of them is unavailable to participate.
