Digital Desk: The results between Congress and the BJP appear to be close, according to the results of the exit polls conducted in Chhattisgarh.

According to the ABP-CVoter exit poll inquiry, the Congress is predicted to receive 43.4% of the vote, with the BJP likely to trail closely behind with 41.2%. According to the survey results, the BJP is expected to increase its vote share by the greatest amount (8.2%) since the previous election.

According to the ABP-CVoter Opinion poll, the Congress and the BJP were expected to compete head-to-head, with the former marginally leading. According to the opinion survey, the Congress was expected to win 45–51 seats, while the BJP was expected to win 36–42 seats.

The Congress is still expected to win a majority of the seats, 41 to 53, according to the exit poll, as was also anticipated in the opinion survey. The ABP-CVoter exit poll forecasts indicate that the BJP will probably win between 36 and 48 seats in the Chhattisgarh election.

In the 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly, the Congress now controls 71 constituencies, while the BJP has 14 seats.

The Grand Old Party was the victim of accusations of corruption throughout the intense Chhattisgarh campaign, spearheaded by the BJP and the Congress's alliance partner in the I.N.D.I.A. bloc, the AAP. The campaigning peaked when CM Bhupesh Baghel was linked to the Rs 508 crore scandal through the Enforcement Directorate's investigation into the Mahadev App case. Seizing the chance, the BJP attempted to corner the Baghel government.

Refusing to be sidetracked by the accusations, the Congress attempted to use its pro-tribal reputation in the state. As of the most recent elections, Congress intends to add 26 tribal seats to its total. CM Baghel also pushed the Hindutva agenda with temple renovations and the development of a Hindu religious tourist circuit — the Ram Van Gaman Path.

As the state anxiously awaits to know if the Congress will repeat its rule or if the BJP will take power from it, the three days until the results on December 3 appear to be a long wait.
