Digital Desk: Former Assam Pradesh Youth Congress President (AIYC) Dr. Angkita Dutta filed a complaint against Indian Youth Congress President Srinivas BV at Dispur Police Station on April 19, accusing him of mental harassment, physical assault, and using slang language during the last six months.

This comes hours after Srinivas lodged a defamation case against Angkita and served her with a legal notice. In her complaint, Dutta claimed that Srinivas had verbally abused her and made chauvinistic statements about her.

She added that he used slang and threatened her with grave repercussions if she persisted in complaining about him to top-ranking officials.

Dutta also mentioned one of her interactions with him on March 25 at a hotel in Chhattisgarh, where she accused Srinivas of heckling her, gripping her arm, pushing and pulling, and threatening her with slang language. She added that she informed the party's leaders, but that none of them listened to her complaints.

Dutta added that the complaint was filed against a single member of the Congress party, not the entire party. "I am a member of the Congress Party. I've made a complaint about Srinivas BV specifically and not the party. I have worked and will continue to work for the party. I want the accused to be held accountable for his actions," she said.
