Digital Desk: Top leaders from approximately 20 opposition parties, including the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Trinamool Congress (TMC), are anticipated to share the platform at a meeting hosted by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on Friday, The platform is to work on areas where they will try to form an integrated plan to take on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha elections next year.
Nitish Kumar's JD(U) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) are members of Bihar's 'Mahagathbandhan' (grand coalition), which also includes the Congress. In August of last year, the JD(U) leader dissolved their ties with the BJP and departed the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Inflation, unemployment, the Goods and Services Tax (GST), and the problem of caste census in Bihar are among the issues on the Opposition's common agenda, as reported by PTI.

Mehbooba Mufti, Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, and Mamata Banerjee are scheduled to arrive in Patna on Thursday.
Notably, Mamata Banerjee was scheduled to meet former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Yadav today at 5.30 p.m.
The leaders who will attend the opposition meeting on Friday are-Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and its President Mallikarjun Kharge, West Bengal's CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee, Tamil Nadu CM and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader MK Stalin, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar, Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Jharkhand CM and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Hemant Soren, and Jammu and Kashmir's Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti.
Preparation for the Meet-Up
All preparations for the Opposition gathering have been done, said Bihar Finance Minister and JD(U) leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary, he also stated that the leaders will begin arriving in Patna on Thursday.
Kumar stated that the opposition leaders will stay at the State Guest House, and all arrangements have been prepared for their stay. According to the Bihar minister, the opposition leaders' meeting will be held at the Chief Minister's residence.
According to Vijay Kumar Choudhary, the opposition leaders will be served Bihari meals and state specialities.
According to media sources, certain prominent Opposition parties are not comfortable with the idea of a CMP at this time because there are no explicit seat pacts or alliances among Opposition constituents at the national level. In addition, three leaders argued that a CMP is often signed after an election.
"We've made three decisions. The meeting's date, location, and the heads of the opposing parties will be there. On June 23, we will decide on the date and location of the next meeting. Beyond that, anyone who wants to rush the gun will be foolish," Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha leader Derek O'Brien remarked.

BSP chief Mayawati's Stance on (Uninvited) opposition meet
Ms. Mayawati was not invited to the Opposition meeting on Friday, according to JD(U) main spokesperson K C Tyagi, who stated, "We have invited those parties who are willing to fight the BJP in 2024."
