Digital Desk: Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda arrived in Tripura on Friday night to hold a public rally in Shantirbazar, South Tripura, on Saturday (June 17, 2023).
The BJP president arrived at Agartala's Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport on Friday night. He was received by Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha and several other party leaders.
According to party leaders, Nadda would hold a public rally at Shantirbazar, South Tripura, today.
"The public rally is being held to commemorate the 9th year of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's NDA government at the Centre," they said.
Earlier on Thursday, JP Nadda convened a virtual meeting with the party's MPs to evaluate the 'Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan,' according to reports.
The meeting lasted almost an hour, during which the party president expressed his displeasure with the inactivity of certain MPs.
According to sources, Nadda conveyed his displeasure directly to these MPs, claiming that a lot of individuals are demonstrating a lack of enthusiasm for the party's programs.
The BJP president also urged them to utilize the most of the time still available and spread awareness of the Modi government's welfare initiatives.
Notably, as the Modi government nears the end of its ninth year in power, the BJP has chosen to launch a statewide 'Maha Sampark Abhiyan' (Grand Outreach Campaign) from May 30-June 30.
This campaign aims to inform the public about the outcomes of the Narendra Modi government's various social initiatives and development projects.
